We love tiny machines! Piccolo is one such project that introduces people to the world of “computer numerical control,” or CNC machines. The frame is laser-cut, and it uses 3 hobby servos to drive the carriages around. With access to a laser cutter and around $70 in parts you can have a little drawing robot.
What’s really lovely about this tiny machine, is that it’s so small you can hold it up against a vertical surface and draw pictures. There’s no pre-built kit just yet, but someone is bound to help them out soon. In the meantime, the plans are all up on their GitHub page.
