We’ve posted a new release of Otherplan and the Othermill firmware today. It features numerous enhancements and bug fixes from the previous build.
Otherplan 0.14.2, about to mill the Nerd Watch. We’ve added SD card support. This allows the Othermill V2 to remember the calibration and job set-up data on the machine, instead of the host computer. This is super helpful when moving the Othermill between computers.
In addition, for V2 machines we’ve added a calibration routine which can precisely locate the corners of the spoilboard. This is not something one should need to do in the normal course of using the machine. Should the spoilboard be removed and reattached at a later date, it can be re-calibrated for use as a reference point when locating material.
If you’re using an older version of Otherplan, you can auto-update to 0.14.2 in the app. Or, download it here.
