Good morning. We’d like you to meet our interns. First up is Jake. Hailing from the University of Waterloo School of Architecture and with a strong background in engineering, Jake strives to use his design & engineering talents to make our world better. Right now, that means exploring the possibilities of desktop manufacturing - and that’s just what he’s doing at OtherFab. He hopes that tiny machines like these will power a new industrial revolution and inspire the next generation to build the change they want to see in the world.

Skateboard: draft 2
He says, “I wanted to build useful things with the Othercutter - and that meant testing just how far cardboard can take you. Naturally this meant building a skateboard out of cardboard. The result is unfinished but I think there’s the potential for something pretty awesome here!”
